CMod description

The dissertation unit provides the opportunity to study in depth a topic in physics which the student has chosen or which has been suggested by a member of staff. Where possible, there will be a link to the subject of the final year project. The preparation of the dissertation will involve considerable use of Library facilities for directed literature searches of research material. The completed dissertation will be word-processed and students will be expected to master software packages for the presentation of results and figures.
