This half-unit course covers key issues in econometrics and focuses on least square regression techniques and their economic applications. The course is required for ECON 306. Course prerequisites are ECON 210 or grade 'C' (or better) in 'A' level Statistics or Pure Mathematics/Statistics; or Modular Mathematics I; or Operational Research I.

By the end of this course, students should have a knowledge and understanding of:

  • Statistical data and their manipulation and presentation by verbal, graphical, mathematical and econometric means

  • Apply theoretical, historical and quantitative methods to the analyses of public policy problems
