Assessment: Details of Assessment

Progress will be formatively assessed in week 10 and indicative feedback provided. The emerging ?body' of work will be summatively assessed in week 20 and a mark and feedback provided. In weeks 29 (internal) and 30 (external examiner) the body of work as a whole produced by the student will be finally assessed.
The assessment guidance feedback from their studio tutor (in weeks 10 and 20) will be overseen by the Course Director. The student's work in week 29 is at least double marked, but usually marked by all studio staff to ensure parity of marking across the unit.
For the 2.5 units of Art:260 the expectation is that the student will present for assessment a well realised, coherent, technically accomplished ?body' of works, this differs in volume and ?depth' of realisation from Art 221 and Art 261 which are 1 and 1.5 units respectively.
