• To provide a structured, progressive and thematic training in areas of Biomedical
  Science and associated Biological Sciences which will provide students with a
  knowledge and understanding appropriate for subject-specific graduate employment.
• To prepare graduates for careers with a wide variety of employers such as
  pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries and government agencies.
• To develop the intellectual and practical skills necessary for progression to

General: Knowledge, Understanding and Skills

• have knowledge and understanding of the biology of health and
  human disease, including biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, molecular biology,
  immunology, human physiology and anatomy
• be able to plan, conduct and report an individual investigation
• have the ability to synthesise and critically evaluate information from a variety of
